No, the federal government does not fund Team USA’s Olympians. The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee receives no federal funding for Olympic athletes or programs.

Yes. The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, often known as “The Team Behind Team USA” is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Additionally, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was developed to specifically support Team USA athletes and help them achieve sustained competitive excellence and well-being through the generous support of the American public through the Team USA Fund.

What is a Match Challenge?
Thanks to a generous donor, $50,000 will be used to double the impact of gifts to this campaign in support of the USOPF’s mission. Gifts received after the campaign is completed or in excess of this amount will not be matched but will still support the Team USA Fund.
